I suppose a brief explanation of my world is in order to better understand what I say next. To put it in simple terms, a few are granted abilities allowing them to traverse into the minds of others, called the Metaverse. This ability to travel from the 'real' world to the 'mind' world usually involves a program on our cellphones. However, while that seems to have been lost in this world, all other abilities I could normally only use in the Metaverse seem to work. The Metaverse is not a calm experience, to put it lightly. Shadows, demonic monsters born of the collective unconsciousness, patrol people's minds. To be able to navigate, one must be able to fight back. I can demonstrate that power, if you'd like.
[A small pause.]
I hope it does not make you think I imply that vampires are monsters. Rather, I meant it to show that, should force be required, I have the means to fight back. Then there's knowledge, I must admit. I may not be a scholar, but I do know some have lived for quite a long time. Whatever insight they may partake, I would be glad to be a part of to further my own.
